Micro-Schools
At Lebanon Schools, we believe learning takes place outside the four walls of school. Today’s careers are more diverse and dynamic than ever before, so we’re preparing students in new and exciting ways. Through our academy approach, students engage in hands-on, real-world learning experiences that connect what they’re learning in the classroom to their future goals. Whether it’s through job shadowing, internships, project-based learning, or career-focused coursework, our students have the opportunity to explore their passions and gain valuable skills that prepare them for life after high school.
Our Academy Approach provides students with a personalized and purpose-driven education by allowing them to explore their interests through career-focused explorations. Students are grouped into learning communities where core academic subjects are taught through the lens of real-world industries and careers. This approach helps students make meaningful connections between their learning and future goals, while also developing essential skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication. Whether students plan to attend college, enter the workforce, or join the military, the academy model equips them with the tools and experiences they need to succeed beyond graduation.
Learning in Action
Through our Schools of Exploration at Lebanon Middle School, eligible students begin to uncover their interests and talents through hands-on, engaging learning experiences connected to real-world careers. This foundation continues at Lebanon High School through our Schools of Discovery, where students dive deeper into career-focused pathways, gain practical skills, and connect their classroom learning to life beyond graduation. Whether through project-based learning, specialized coursework, job shadowing, or internships, our academy approach equips students with the confidence, purpose, and preparation they need to succeed in whatever path they choose.
