PLC Framework
The Lebanon R-III School District seeks to improve our instructional practices through collaborative study and to improve educational outcomes for each student by using evidence to make instructional decisions.
The 4 Questions of PLC's
- What do we want students to learn?
- How do we know students have learned it?
- What do we do when students don't learn it?
- What do we do when students learned it/already know it?
PLC's allow us to use our collective expertise to make the process better. PLC's don't just happen on Fridays. PLC time might be focused on one, or a combination of these questions in an ongoing cycle of teaching and learning.
The goal of the PLC is to evaluate evidence of student learning and respond accordingly to each child.
